With the recent Philippine elections the US President Barak Obama has come out in support of a law which would allow online gambling in the Philippines. The US President supports this measure because the country’s online gambling industry is a major source of the billions in revenue. Many politicians in the Philippines have been in favor of the initiative, but the main problem is the absence of support from national leaders. The bill that is in the forefront is the Bringing Back Gaming Control Act. It is currently being discussed in the House of Representatives. The primary idea behind the bill is to tax online gambling and create an all-national registry for every gaming website.
